Born in Tokyo, Japan, Taichi Akutsu is a violinist, teacher and researcher living in New York City.
He graduated from Manhattan School of Music (M.M. in Orchestral Performance Program) where he studied with the New York Philharmonic Concertmaster Glenn Dicterow.
As a violin fellow of the New World Symphony, he experienced more than 300 performances with prominent artist such as Michael Tilson Thomas, Yo- Yo-Ma and Itzhak Perlman at premier concert halls including the Arsht Center for Performing Arts in Miami and New York's Carnegie Hall.
